Routledge chapter by JR – Audiobook

Posted: 21 April, 2025 | Category: Mainly Writing

An audiobook of the main body of the text from my chapter “Beyond Music Workshops – A Composer and a Community” has been released. There are eight main sections, plus addenda, making eleven in total.

The invitation to write came in March 2019 following my keynote speech at Senate House, London, for the Women and Musical Leadership International Conference. The book ‘The Routledge Global Companion to Women and Musical Leadership – The Nineteenth Century and Beyond’ arose from the conference. I contributed chapter 30.

I spent the first half of 2020 during the lockdowns writing and did extensive revisions in 2021 and 2024. The last revisions before publication meant that some of the Ibid numbers in the published version got out of sync, as it was a rush to the deadline. Please get in touch to obtain a private PDF copy of the complete chapter (formatted by Jenni, not Routledge) with all the corrections, extensive footnotes and bibliography. Thanks. JR.

Released April 20, 2025

Thanks to Helen Julia Minors and Laura Hamer for the invitation to write this chapter and for all their help during the process.
